This is a critical point to remember…conscious and subconscious memory are two different elements. You do not have to remember consciously what you read. This is a major concern to many individuals, and why they don’t read something important, because they know they will forget it. Yes they may forget it consciously, but they will not forget it in their subconscious. Your subconscious stores everything you have ever read..seen, heard or do and files it away in its library of memories, ready to be recalled.. if you need it. That is why you need to understand the segment…on the conscious/subconscious… and how they work together. The crucial responsibility of the conscious…is to read and understand the material being read. To make our program work, you need to have your conscious and subconscious..have clear and precise information in your area of concern. The sub-conscious is easily confused with vague terms. The subconscious has a lot of powers, but it does not have the ability to recognize and visualize a specific problem. It is aware of problems, but only as information and will continue to use that information, even if it is destructive. That is why you can feel sick..anxious or depressed and you will continue to feel that way,..unless the conscious does something about it.

The brain has an inborn awareness of how to keep the body in a state of balance. This basic instinctual ability is below the conscious level and allows us to survive under many conditions. Unfortunately, this natural skill is primarily used on a physical level. If you are hot, cold, hungry, tired or have the flu, the body adjusts automatically to bring itself back into balance. However, if the problem is emotional, the brain appears to be easily puzzled, because of confusing data, and therefore finds it difficult to access the necessary information to reduce stress and bring the body back into harmony.  Worse yet, if the emotional conflict is self induced, the brain tends to magnify the problem rather than fight it.   

Psychoneuroimmunology.  A long word, but very important to understand.  Simply put, it is using our mental powers to affect our physical condition through thought and suggestion.   It is understanding the immune system and how it is affected by stress.  The fight or fight response produces the dark hormones(adrenaline, norepinephrine and the evil cortisol).  These weaken the immune system and push away the happy hormones (dopamine and seratonin).  Although useful for short term bursts, continued application causes long term damage.  Hypochondriacs are actually sick.  The problem is, they created the illness.  The powers of the mind are a two edged sword and can create or destroy.  Simple thoughts or suggestion acts as fuel to drive your body forward.  It can run smoothly or falter and break down, all dependent on how you think.    This is why it is important to be in control of the mind and body.

The problems most of us have, are on the psycho/emotional level. The body and brain do not have automatic solutions to fear, hate, anger, guilt, depression, self consciousness, feelings of inferiority or questions of general identity and purpose. These negative elements (dark emotions) create an emotional roller coaster that races through our body and brain. It is like each element is a grain of sand that appears insignificant when we are young, yet, as we grow older, the accumulated grains of sand, become sandbags that overload the body and make it crumble under the stress and trauma. Like waves rolling against the cliffs, it takes a while, but the end result is always destructive.

There are many traditional methods of dealing with emotional stress and trauma.  We are not interested in theory or arguing the merits of the many therapeutic pathways. We are only interested in positive results… the quicker the better.

Professional therapists, as well as semi-professionals, often assume from an established academic reference, on how to deal with any emotional conflict.  Using these assumptions, the individual is identified as belonging to a certain group and treated accordingly. We do not suggest the individual, not explore their options, just expand their search.

We have an alternative approach. We feel the best answers to every physical problem or emotional conflict should come directly from the individual’s conscious/subconscious. The conscious has the daily awareness and the subconscious, like a library, holds the total knowledge of every aspect of each individuals experience and has the power to either create a problem or eliminate it. Unlike the automatic processes that help maintain body balance, the sub­conscious needs constant clear and precise information in order to reduce the stress and imbalance caused by the dark emotions. It is the need for this “Root Information” that is the key to the individual becoming his own master therapist. The vague definitions that make up a person’s life easily confuse the subconscious. “I want to be loved, happy, healthy, successful, confident, lose weight, quit smoking and motivated” are only a few of the words that represent who we would like to be; however, the subconscious does not really know what is meant by these words and therefore adds the element of “frustration” to the burden the mind/body must already carry when seeking answers.
